Just as before they sent the recipe and everything required to make it (Aside from the oil for cooking the steaks).
As before, the recipe was easy to follow. Slice and toss the cabbage with sriracha and vinegar to make the Kimchi. Cook the rice. Rub and sear the steaks. Warm the rice and add tomato sauce, ginger, seasoning.
The steaks were good, if a little on a small side. They were already trimmed and all though, so that's a big plus for me. I'm honestly not sure what the cut was, maybe a top sirloin? The chile rub was flavorful without being overpowering.
Also, not gonna lie, I mostly ignored all directions for cooking the steaks. I know how to do this, you chicken fuckers! Evidence above.
The rice was a little overly acidic to me but I also was already feeling a little hungover (see a pattern?). The steak was awesome, I like the rub a lot. I didn't care for the Kimchi. The "quick" part kinda killed it, it was basically vinegar cabbage. Perhaps I've been ruined by real kimchi. There was a massive amount of leftover rice and a massive amount of leftover kimchi. The steak however was only enough for two servings. Maybe I'll try to use the rice for something else. Overall, pretty solid. Definitely something different and the calories were totally reasonable at around 750 a serving.
