I just stopped at Cordelia's to get some stuff to make lasagna. As I walked in I was instantly confused. The produce and the chips that used to reside in the first little portion of the store are no more. I don't know where the chips moved, to be honest, because I didn't look, but the produce has moved over to the veggie section just inside the main building. I'm ok with this though, because the space they used to occupy has been replaced with a growler station.
Pretty decent setup from the looks of it. They sell growlers empty for $6, and they look pretty decent.
64oz refills are $10. Draft pints are $4. They also do a 7oz draft that you can walk around the store with for $2, which seems like a fucking amazing deal after a long day of work.
I'm not going to lie, this is going to be a BIG factor in deciding where I grocery shop. Cordelia's is a bit overpriced (Expected for downtown of course), doesn't have a ton of stuff, and their selection is pretty limited on a lot of things, but if I can drink a beer while I shop I don't give a fuck about any of that shit. There's also some seating, if you want to grab some food from their deli and kick it with a beer.
So basically this is now my favorite grocery store on the planet.
P.S. My lasagna was godly.
