Majestic Grille is an upscale American restaurant located more or less at Main and Peabody Place. The building used to house a theater and that theme carries into the restaurant. They play silent movies on a big projection screen and have special menus prior to broadway shows at The Orpheum.
I've honestly never had anything bad there, but by far my favorite thing on the menu is the house smoked salmon appetizer.
It's a ridiculous amount of food for the price, it's not bad for you, and it's seriously amazingly delicious. It's a giant piece of smoked salmon, some crusty toasted bread, horseradish cream sauce, stone ground mustard, capers, and red onion. You build your own little salmon appetizer. Like so:
Tonight, I split the salmon with a friend of mine and then decided to split the pork tenderloin entree as well, it's another favorite of mine. Served with garlic mashed potatoes, fried onions, and candied carrots. It's a huge amount of food, and IMO is enough for two even without the salmon appetizer. So either split it or come very hungry. Or just be a pig and eat it all, I've done it before and I regret NOTHING.
